 STOMPer gnoolkok was surprised that the choking fumes that filled Toa Payoh station yesterday was not given much news coverage. The STOMPer said: "There was a huge commotion at Toa Payoh MRT station yesterday. "I was on a train heading to town. "The train stopped for a couple of minutes. "White fumes started gushing out from the head of the train towards the end. "Passengers were frightened and left the train one by one. "Much later, the whole Toa Payoh station was filled with the choky white fumes. "They then called for an evacuation. "I thought such a big incident would be on the news, but I didn't see it anywhere. "I find that disturbing as no one has given any answer for that incident. "Was it uncalled for? "If so, I think they should give the passengers an explanation and not just leave it behind.
